Our focus is to reach out to a diverse group of students with different capabilities and skills. We adopt a unique teaching-learning approach that capitalises on each student’s learning strengths, needs and interests to offer equal learning opportunities to all.
This helps to lay the foundation of an inclusive society by respecting diversity. It helps develop vital skills in students like empathy and helps foster friendships that look beyond capabilities. With this approach, students learn from peers which enhances their social quotient, emotional quotient, and fun quotient and boosts the academic outcome of all learners.
By being included in a mainstream classroom, the students observe and learn from their peers. Increased interaction with typically developing children can help students with SEN develop social and communication skills.
Peer tutoring models offers the students increased experience with the material which strengthens their subject knowledge and gives them a chance to master skills. Inclusion also makes it easier for students to prepare for life in an inclusive society.
Having students with diverse capabilities and skills gives teachers the opportunity to develop their own teaching skills. It also helps them collaborate with their peers, counsellors and parents to design a suitable education plan.
Inclusion of all students in one classroom, provides the best chance to help them lead a life that has space for all. It lets all parents become a part of the school community irrespective of their children’s capabilities.
